“Command Three Five Actual. Convoy has halted on the 516 Highway. Requesting QRF!” Luke shouted into his intercom system.
The pursuing Phantom had turned port side to the halted convoy. Its plasma cannon fired into the front Warthog’s chassis, causing it to lurch onto two wheels momentarily. The Marine behind the mounted chaingun briefly lost his grip, jerking the gun up as he worked to regain his balance. Above them, the Phantom’s bay doors opened up.

The Stone and The Wolf (Personal Work to Showcase Script Writing)
Moonlight streaks through the top of a Yurt. Illuminating an agitated bird on its post. The Warhawk strains against its bonds. A man stirs awake underneath a fur blanket.
Khonkai rises out of his bedding. We notice the silhouette of a muscular build. As he makes his way to the bird we can see the tusks jutting up from his lower jaw. He addresses the bird and tries to calm it.

(Beat.)
There, there. What is the matter?
What do you feel? Do your ancestors call to you?
Horus the bird chirps in affirmation. Calming down under the touch of its master.
